Looking for a good quality mockneck or turtleneck I can wear with a sport coat. Any recommendations as far as brands go?

Budget is up to $250. Happy to buy lightly used or from a retailer like YOOX.

I love the look of stuff like this, would just prefer a mock neck. Also how is drumohr?

As @bry2000 mentioned, John Smedley likely has something for you in that price range. The advantage is, apart from good quality, the selection of colors and fits. If you want something more classically fitting (ie relaxed) go for their easy fit, and if you want something slimmer, go for what they call standard fit.

Another good option is Gran Sasso, although color options on their web store are not that extensive.

Now looking at the example you posted, sounds like you want something chunkier. Not sure it will work with a SC/suit.
I actually don't like John Smedley chunky sweater options. They are more like finer knitwear go-to. Check out Gran Sasso FW2019 on their web store, it should even be discounted by now.

Yeah that's the one thing I'm worried about. I really love the speckled Irish/British look but I'm not sure it comes in a config thin enough to work well with a suit. Either way I do want a nice sweater so brand recommendations are appreciated!

Innis Meain has a wide variety of interesting knitwear in different materials.

+1, i once had one and the knit is so loose, not the tight feel of their polo and thin sweater.

give della ciana a try, very good quality in my limited experience

Has anyone had luck ordering from bosie and their shade card. I have tried to email them, but I get no response.

Inis Meáin
John Smedley
Johnstons of Elgin
William Lockie
Scott & Charters
Jamieson’s of Shetland

All of them make quality knitwear and can be found within your price range especially on sales. Also Uniqlo is not that bad by any means.

Have no experience with Drumohr, but heard good things here on SF.

Drumohr was sold to an Italian company about 15 years ago. I bought some stuff after the transition and found it a bit disappointing. It's more like your typical "Italian luxury" line nowadays, instead of the gutsy knitwear that Scotland has been traditionally known for producing.

That said, I bought my stuff maybe ten years ago. Perhaps things have changed. RTW fashion houses are somewhat hard to characterize because they change collections from season to season and use different factories.

Any alternatives you'd recommend? I'm ok spending and going used. Have been waiting for the right inis piece to pop used.

How would you rank those brands quality wise?

I think @georgeka's list above is pretty good.

If you haven't worn this kind of combo before, I would get something basic to see how you like it. Something like a Club Monaco turtleneck in merino (prob something you can find for $50).
