Measure jeans that fit you properly (with a similar rise to the jeans you want). Imo it is a very bad idea to buy jeans based on your body measurements.

Okay... so even this way I would have a 33 waist and would have to purchase a 32 KMW... this cannot really be true, I could jump out of a 32 waist without touching the fabric on the inside... [IMG]

You're the same size as my brother and he picked up a pair of 29's.
He normally wears 30's (FYI, this sizing applies to the raws only)

If it helps, I am 184cm and weighing around 70 kilos...

I understand that only raw denim stretches that much, like also my Levi's don't stretch over the usual amount that every jeans seem to stretch with wearing and shrink again when washed [IMG]

What I do have in my current rotation is not really SF approved, so I hope the information will really help you helping me [IMG]

    - Lee Flint (slight bootcut, basically a real straight cut)
    - Levis 506 (standard)
    - Levis 512 (over here that is a low rise boot cut)
    - Levis 507 (over here a slightly slimmer cut bootcut with medium rise)

I prefer mine fitting a tad tighter though, so I wear them all in 30/34

Thanks for you help guys, thats too kind [IMG]

Thank you [IMG] Is anyone able to help me with the sizing on KMWs? I understand they do not really stretch? How should I measure and what should I keep in mind to find out which size I need in waist? [IMG] Do they shrink length-wise?
I would size down 1, maybe even 2 if you're daring

If I could go back in time, I'd have sized down 2 on my KMW's. They get a bit baggy for a skinny jean in between washes.

I am 5'10" and about 165 pounds (you can do the metric conversion) but I am guessing that I am not that much different than you though your waist may be slightly smaller than mine. I don't think you are measuring correctly if you have a 35 inch waist at the hips while wearing size 30's higher up on your torso (unless you are a woman). I am a true 31-31.5 and I sized down to a 30 in the kmw 1980 raws (it measured a 15.5 across when I got them). The waist was not a problem in that buttoning them was fine but the thighs are a little tight and I hope they stretch out slightly. I tried on 31's and they were slightly too loose for my tastes. After a while these do stretch but they magically seem to come back to normal when I wear them again a few days later. Reading around, these maybe might stretch an inch on the waist but these jeans are not known for either stretching or fading.

I checked out some of the KMW tshirts and sweatshirts at Fred Segal Man last night. The stuff is pretty interesting to touch....

I've found this to be true as well.

They do stretch and then shrink back to normal...one of denim's mysteries

I would not size down two. I personally own 7 pairs and we have sold them for a while and I do not believe they stretch as much as other jeans. Size down two? with apc, sure. Not with kicking mule though......

I never really did the raw denim thing, or was really that into spending mucho dinero on jeans. I took the plunge about 2 years ago, and got some KMW 1950's. I have worn them as much as possible for that two years, and have washed them twice. Where they have come from, to where they are now, is absolutlely incredible. Sure it sucked having to leave them outside for a few days to get smoke smell out and etc. etc. but they are the most comfortable, and best looking jeans I have ever had, and I get compliments on them a lot. I have consistantly worn them out to bars, and parties, and such, and can use them as t shirts and jeans, to dress shirts and a sports coat. they are so versatile. I also have worked on my motorcyles and cars with them, played football and soccer with them, and they just look amazing. BEST JEANS EVER, I think they turn out awesome if you give them time. Plus the quality is absolutely superb.

Mine are rinsed, maybe they're sized differently? They definitely stretch a bit, more than Somets to be sure.
