This is my first thread here, so first hello.

I have recently fallen for a pair of flat-front Kiton trousers on sale but, alas, they are a size 34. I am a size 36. Could anybody advise me on the general fit of Kiton trousers? Would it be feasible for me to just open the waist up an inch or so? If it is of any help, I have recently bought a pair of RLPL flat fronts and the fit has been on the looser side of perfection.

Hoping somebody in the know could advise..

Have you tried them on? Or is it an online sale?

In general, if the thigh and seat fit, but the waist needs 0.5-1.5" adjustment then you should be fine.

I play hockey and cycle and have developed leg muscles (nothing huge). I am a 36 waist in Zegna Canali etc but have to size up to 38 in stuff like Isaia, Cucinelli and Kiton because they tend to be slimmer fitting in the thighs and butt. I found this out the hard way - I have a brand new pair of 36 Kiton charcoal twill flat front pants in my closet that I cant wear

hey guys, thanks for the info thusfar.. binge: unfortunately it is an online sale, so I may just have to see if there's a refund policy. Taking into account that I row, It may be wiser to go for a 36 afterall...

I've had a similar issue with 2 pair of trousers lucino barbar herringbone and E. Zegna Multicolor window pane. I simply made sure that there were 2 inches or more extra to let out. Then I let the tailor I've used several times before make the adjustments. The pants fit perfrectly.

We will be waiting anxiously for them to make it on buying and selling.
