Hi everyone,
First post here so I hope I'm posting in the right place. I've been on the hunt for a statement shearling coat like this from Tom Ford:

https://www.tomford.com/long-shearling-coat/TFL685-BL439.html

But can't quiiite stretch to 10,000 dollars. However, I found this Kilgour coat on eBay which has a similar look but was wondering what it's actually worth:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112199899319?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

The buy it now is 400 pounds but I've seen Kilgour coats sold for much less. Any advice on this would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Rowan

If value a second hand garment (or a rip off) then you must pay what you think it is worth to you. If you don't like the 'buy it now' price you must walk away and hope that the item doesn't sell an d reappears at a lower price.

There is no 'right' price, there needs to be a 'willing buyer' and a 'willing seller' and the price falls out of that. No opinio9n here will make one jot of difference to that principle. By asking it rather suggests that you cannot afford the item and if that is right just walk on by.

Looks like early Brandelli, you're not going to do better than this.

That seems like a good price for a shearling coat, although only you could say if you can pull it off stylistically.

Except that I don't think shearling coats was his forte.

It's a reasonable buy, just make sure it fits and that you are comfortable with the style.
