The burgundy is nice. It reminds me of black cherry. It would be a nice addition to any shoe wardrobe where you already have a classic black and brown.

Those shoes are fantastic. Kiyoshi took me through some of their others styles last time I was there and I wanted to walk out with all of them. If not for their price tag, but we'll worth saving up for. below are some pics of what I've purchased from them recently. Not pictured is one of their blue ocbd and some other great Bresciani socks. Bresciani over the calf are my new favorite.

Khakis of carmel are very nice. I also like khakis of navy and khakis of chocolate.

For those of you who wish to combine sartorial indugence with
World Class music, I recommend the Carmel Bach Festival.
I've been going ever since I moved to the Bay Area over 20 years ago.
Superb classical music, great venues and all the many attractions of
    the Monterey Peninsula.

For Classic Automobile maniacs, of which I am one, there is
the Pebble Beach Concours in August:

I'll be there in full classic collector wannabe mode.

Very nice. Fortunately they do have some of their khakis in my size. I think I'll try a pair. I really should drop by their store the next time I'm up in that area. Thanks for sharing this one.

They just posted on their website today that they now have Ring Jackets from Japan in stock. I've read about Ring Jackets online and in Men's Ex for ages and have been interested in this brand. They seem to get the Italian look and style with wonderful looking fabrics (although I'm not aware of their fabric brands). The Armory has Ring Jackets on their website but that cut or model was too short for me. Khaki's of Carmel web site says they are offering" jackets in patterns for the American Market". I hope that means it will be a bit longer for taller customers.

This is from their website. A classic herringbone with a 3-2 roll, patch pockets and 1/4 lining. Exactly the specs I love. Now, will it be long enough? I think we are headed down there in a couple of weeks. When I try them on I will report back. It will be interesting to see the price as well.

I'm very excited by the Ring Jacket news. I've been collecting photos of their stuff for a while now. I'm very much looking forward to seeing more info about what Khaki's is doing with them.

+1, seeing that I'm only about 3 hours away from Carmel, I really need to consider a dedicated trip down there soon.

The previous travels towards Carmel have always detoured me away from visiting Khakis. But rest assured, next time the priority is at the top of the list.

I'm about the same distance. Just need to find the right time and unfortunately none of my friends are as interested in menswear to take the trip with me.

I might get my brother to come with me. It's a great drive and it'll give him the chance to drive his BMW long distance

They posted another Ring Jacket today on their blog. This time a fully lined blue blazer.

Was there on 8/15. Picked up a pair of Alberto jeans at a deep discount
on the lower level. Checked out their sportcoats where I bought a jacket last
year. Their selection has become too fashion forward for my taste. Nevertheless,
always worth visiting when I am in the area.

Seems like a nice store and nice people. No offense, but anytime anyone starts talking about editing or curating at a clothing store, my door begins to swing gently shut.

Really? Isn't that what all great buyers do at retail stores? Edit and curate purchases for a season? Otherwise what are they doing, just buying stuff? Or following the heard? Aren't the best stores the ones with a great selection?
