I visited KW in NYC yesterday to have measurements taken for a suit. That went mostly well except for the web form crashed - I'm hopeful all the notes were captured correctly. The one thing holding me back from completing my order is the lack of seconding fitting. I've had MTM suits made several times over the years, and they have always needed adjustments during second fitting. Can any customers comment on how good the fit of their first MTM suit from KW was, and how it compared to other MTM suppliers?

I visited Aaron in New York to make a suit with Kent Wang in 2017. The fit was good in important areas (like shoulders and chest), though it needed some adjustments with length of jacket and sleeves. I had those alterations made by a tailor.

I then commissioned a sport coat with Kent Wang in 2018. The fit was better, but we had overcompensated a bit on the adjustments, so I took it to a tailor to shorten the sleeves.

I have used one MTM service that takes care of alterations (PJT) and found that to result in a better fit; however, that is also a more expensive provider. I have done online only MTM (Lanieri) and been quite dissatisfied. So I think Kent Wang provides a solid option in the middle price range of MTM suit-makers.

Anyone receive the shawl cardigan in green in medium yet? If so, when did you order it? Thanks.

The shawl cardigans have been a big hit for us, beyond our expectations.

What other knitwear items do y'all want? Something with a hood? A pretty normal zip-front hoodie? With something special to it like wool, cashmere, and/or cable knit? Open to ideas.

Even more colors of the shawl cardigan would be great!

Chunky turtlenecks?

Shaggy/brushed Shetland crewnecks?

Edit: And with the shawl cardigans, if I have a 43" chest, would you suggest getting the XL and expect it to stretch out a bit for me, or just go with the XXL?

Please please please consider a mock neck cardigan - would love to see you offer something that generally competes with or adds another option to the SNS Stark Style.

Would welcome a pretty normal zip-front hoodie with Kent Wang twist to it.

I pre-ordered a shawl cardigan when it listed estimated delivery at the end of October and haven't gotten any shipping confirmation - any chance I got bumped to December? Not a huge deal but would be nice to confirm.

Depends how you want it to fit. The XL will be quite slim and snug to begin. I personally think go for the XXL since it wouldn’t be a big deal if it’s a little roomy. You’d likely rather than that too small

it’s possible, as we did have a couple sizes oversell the first reorder. I thought we reached out to everyone if it got bumped. Please send an email to [email protected] with the inquiry and order number and we’ll dig into it.

Hi Kent and company,

I'd love to see:

A classic Fair Isle sweater or sweatervest in a brown / tan / green colorway.

A deep mossy green Donegal crewneck.

Heavy chunky turtleneck sweaters.

Brushed Shetland crewnecks.

I love my cream shawl cardigan. Can't wait for it to get cold enough to wear it!

Glad to hear the cardigans are doing well. Really, I think KW hit a sweet spot with these in terms of style and price, but the biggest selling point was the visually interesting yarns. I think anything richly heathered would compete well at this price point.

MrAmbrose's has already suggested a fair isle tank - in addition to earthy tones, I think a less traditional colourway like burgundy would be useful.
