1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

The UD thing looks like it's just a pay $100, get $150 worth of credit. I'd think you could use it on anything?

You would be correct. I should have read more closely before asking a stupid question!

I spoke to Urban Daddy's support team and they won't let me pay with my canadian billing address mastercard. They said:

    "Hi Daniel,

Thank you for reaching out! Unfortunately at this time we are unable to accept credit cards with international billing addresses. The only work around at the moment is to have someone who lives in the states place the order on your behalf. I apologize that there is not another solution!

    Best,
    Vanessa"

So...Would anyone be willing to let me paypal them $100 and you purchase the code for me? I have excellent feedback here and on ebay if trust is an issue, but I would be the one risking the trust by paypal'ing first.

Would appreciate it so much. Thanks gentlemen.

+1. The last thing you want is for something to go wrong and you are scrambling at the last second to find anything you can get your hands on. Just start the process with Kent now.

How is the quality of the benchgrade cap-toe? I usually stick with AE but for a similar price I'm liking the silhouette of the KW.

And from searching, I'm assuming I'd order a size 8.5 since I'm an 8D in the AE 5 last?

I have the plain-toe balmoral, but I think they are made by the same maker on the same last, so the quality should be comparable to the cap-toe. My experience is that they are superior to AE. The channeled sole is a nice touch. I haven't seen that feature on a shoe for less than $700. I wear a 9.5E in the AE 5-last, so I went with a 10D in the Kent Wang, which is my typical size.

Kent's turnaround time is unbelievable. I placed my order (taking advantage of the Urban Daddy deal) for a couple of grenadines and pocket squares tonight. Received the order confirmation at 9:14 PM and the shipping confirmation at 10:39 PM. Impressed again.

    ^It's a code dude.
Urban Daddy is probably emailing the promo code to whatever email the person provides and that person can then forward the code to dgonsh.

    I AM THERE +1

Edited to say: I have also been holding off on a suit purchase b/c I am weary of fouling up the measurements. I am excited about the prospects of getting measured and the suits that would follow. I am also a little scared, about the result on my bank account.

Might be a stupid question, but could one conceivably purchase two "deals" so that they are paying $200 for $300 worth of credit? I was looking at picking up a pair of the black plain toe balmorals and this could help knock $100 off the price for me, bringing them into a more affordable range.

The fine print certainly doesn't limit the deal to one per customer, so you could conceivably purchase two. However, it does state that it cannot be combined with any other offer (the question here would be whether each code is a separate offer). So you may not be able to use 2 codes on a single purchase.

I suppose we should look to the proprietor of the shop for an answer to this...

Or we could not try to take advantage of a retailer who got his start in, and has been good to, SF. A retailer who is basically one dude doing this because he loves it, and who fills a legitimate hole in the marketplace and produces some awesome goods while he's at it.
