Sorry if this is a bore, but I wanted to revive the discussion of the weights of the fabrics used for the polos. Reading through the thread I get some conflicting impressions. Some have found the polos to be very thin, and in some colours almost translucent (grey, pink). Others note that the navy, e.g. is fairly substantial. Are the fabrics different weights in the different colours?

Kent, you have said that only a small number of customers find that the polos are too see-through. But is this just a way of saying that most people are content with them as they are? I would be interested to hear from anyone who has a polo in a light colour. Are nipples visible, or aren't they?

I have a white one, and a navy one, both long-sleeve.

Both are quite thick. You needn't worry about either of these two colours being see-through.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and admit that I was underwhelmed by them both.

The collars were certainly well constructed. And the buttons were nice. But the fabrics felt and looked cheap to me. I don't wear either of them anymore.

Although my Brooks Brothers polo shirts have inferior collars, the fabrics (Golden Fleece Performance Polo) are better.

I've now added "fabric weight" as a description on the website so you can see which is which. Some customers prefer heavy, some prefer light; the numbers are evenly divided.

Only about 0.5% of customers have returned shirts because the fabric was too thin.

    Hi Kent,

I purchased the royal blue polo in a small and was extremely happy with how well it fit. After that, I purchased the green polo in the same size only to find that it was several inches too long. Is this kind of variation normal across each of your polos?

    Thanks!

Kent -- what happened to the linen/cotton dress shirt (I believe it was a white and blue stripe)? Are you totally out of the fabric? I had been dragging my feet on purchasing one mto.

    Thanks.

Any updates on the lavender and any potential striped polos?

Anybody with the polos know how they translate to PRL polo sizes? I wear a S in regular fit and M in custom fit PRL.

Kent I remember a couple of years ago you guys had some interesting flower cuff links. Whatever happened to those?

Yes, we're out of that fabric but I'm currently working on some new sources.
Lavender should be here in about three weeks. No new stripes.
I wear these all the time and they're one of my favorites.

Don't think that because it's cheaper than other jewelers that the quality is any lower. Most jewelers charge large markups. Compare the $55 barbell cuff links I sell versus the $200 Tiffany ones.

I ran out of the antique glass buttons used to make them.
