I have the swim trunks - same quality (and look) of Orlebar Brown. Very good value, wish they would come in other colours and prints.

Someone on Massdrop once posted that the pockets of the swim trunks do not have "holes" in them in order to allow water to drain out. Speaking from experience, can you confirm whether this is true or not?

Hmmmm, how bizarre. Wouldn’t put me off of buying, by any stretch, but curious to know the “why” if true.

Not quite the time of year yet, but any thoughts on the fit of the swim trunks? I'm somewhere between a 32-34, but, given the lack of drawstring on the waist, I imagine going 34" and using side adjusters is a recipe for disaster/indecent exposure. Any thoughts on if a 32" would be feasible, or at least the safer choice?

I have a pair of KW swim trunks that I purchased last year. In most clothing brands, I generally wear a 31 or 32 (or even an occasional 30). In the KW trunks, I purchased a 34 and I use the adjusters to take them in a bit. I probably could have gotten away with a 33, but I wanted to be safe (and have a little "wiggle" room for fluctuations in my waistline). I would err on the side of going a little large; you can always have them taken in just like any other pair of pants if they are way too big in the waist.

I think this is a non-issue. I've never thought to myself, "I wish these pockets would drain faster." In fact, I just looked, and the part of the pocket that is not visible is primarily mesh. See the photo below. I don't know how anyone would have a problem with pocket drainage.

Interesting. Based on that, I actually think 32 is a safer choice. Appreciate the input.

I usually wear a 34, but my thighs measure 25 inches around so OTR pants almost never work for me. I sized up on the swim trunks and had the waist brought in and thighs let out, and still couldn't make them work. Not KW's fault; it wouldn't make sense to make OTR swim trunks for someone with my proportions.

I can say, however, that the trunks were very high quality, and if I ever stop squatting I'll give them another shot. Draining from the pockets was a little slow, but not enough to be considered a problem. If your legs fit OTR styles, I think it's hard to find a more handsome pair of trunks for the price.

Thanks. Yes I agree it's a non-issue now that I've seen the inside.

Totally insignificant question regarding swim trunks: is the fly zipper or button? Or Velcro?

The trunks are awesome, and I am glad I went for the 32 over 34. The larger size would not have come close to fitting.

Also, the interior tag says dry clean only. Please tell me this is inaccurate or that you folks wash yours?
