You'll stand a better chance of getting a better assessment with your shirt tucked in; with it out it throws off the entire frame of reference (looks too short, stance way too high, etc.) Others might be able to see 'round it, but I'd do a proper tuck and re-shoot this angle to get one less point for confusion out of the way.

Here are more pics with my shirt tucked in.

Here are Kent's rec's.

  • Buttoning point should be at the narrowest part of your waist, so I think -2 cm
  • Sleeve length -2 cm. You should double check. With your arms laying naturally at your side, your shirt sleeve should end at the third joint (base joint) of your thumb. The jacket sleeve should end 1.5 cm above that.
  • Jacket length, we usually adjust the same amount as the sleeve length, but it should still cover your butt. It's hard for me to see in the photo.
  • Chest +2 cm
  • Is the armhole rubbing against your armpit? If not, we can narrow it -1 cm

Any thoughts?

Definitely lower the button stance and add a bit to the chest. This may be enough to get rid of the weird buckling at the button point, but not sure.

I wear a small in the interlock PRL, and a medium in the mesh PRL. I wear a large in Kent's polo.

Hmm, I think I should consider getting a polo in XL then. Lack of vanity sizing hurts my ego... as I hardly ever buy stuff in XL.

I'll probably get an XL for a somewhat relaxed fit and see how that works. Thanks for the input.

The photos are almost useless for judging the differences between such a narrow band of colors. Lighting and cameras vary wildly, far more than the difference between the fabrics. Even our studio photos are not that useful other than to show the fabrics relative to each other.

7002 - Black

7004 - Midnight blue. Looks like black, though if compared side-by-side under indoor lighting it actually makes black look very slightly yellow, hence why midnight blue is often described as blacker than black. Under intense studio lighting it may look blue.

7003 - Navy. This is what I recommend to most people.

7089 - Navy, almost indistinguishable from 7003 in indoor lighting, but appears like a dark blue in sunlight. Should be suitable for a law firm or even courtroom. May be inappropriate for an outdoor funeral.

7087 - Dark blue

Kent, how does 102705 compare to the fabrics you described above? Anyone here ordered this fabric?

Kent, is there any chance you'll eventually provide a grosgrain option for tuxedo lapels and stripes, in addition to the satin option?

I'm thinking of getting some of the KW polos for spring/summer and I'm a bit unsure of what size to go for.

I can relate it to the PRL custom fit polos I've got. M here is too slim, L is a quite relaxed fit. Do you think I should get L or XL? As Kent writes that their polos are "much" slimmer than polo custom fit, do you think that is accurate? Meaning L or XL?

Order both and send back the one you don't want? :D

I don't think there's any point in ordering any of the Gladson fabrics and paying the higher price if there's a similar one in the Basic collection. The quality is the same. The four shades of navy and dark blue in the Basic collection listed above should be all you need.

Outlook not so good.

Do you have any plans to produce the monogram W pocketsquare in other colors?
I had not noticed that yet. Just when I get interested in expanding my pocket square collection beyond a blue tone stripe and a plain white linen, and my last name begins with a W...

Thanks for pointing me at that.

On the 2nd to last from the bottom row, all the way on the right is a pair of chukkas in a lighter color than the current chukkas on the site. Is this going to be available soon?
