Anyone got a pic of how they look on feet?
Kent, are you're new pocket squares screen-printed? By hand?
Ditto to that. I would love to try them, but I am a size 10. It's winter anyhow. I can wait 5 months.
yeah, i want to read a review of the sneakers, the sneakers are much better than paying 200 dollars for a pair of rip off common projects sneakers.
any chance of getting a better shipping rate to canada? it is something like 40-50 dollars to ship to canada...
Kent, are the new squares made on the same silk as the original RJ Cat one?
I'm currently using two different printing companies who presumably source different silk. My website lists where they're printed. The UK ones (cat squares, Great Wave) are screen printed, the Italy ones (all the others) are digital print. I thought the screen print would turn out better but honestly they are identical as far as I can tell. The ink saturation to the reverse side is equal. The detail and contrast is identical. Maybe the UK fabric has a slightly wetter, smoother feel while the Italy ones are drier (which is not necessarily worse, and maybe preferable since they are slightly less slippery). The difference is very slight and without foreknowledge no one will be able to tell the difference between the two.
Most screen printing is pretty good quality, while a lot of digital printing is poor, so it's to easy generalize screen print as being better than digital. But digital printing has been making a lot of technological improvements over the years. There are plenty of companies that are using older, low quality printers. I spent a lot of time trying different printing companies. I have no doubt that the print quality on these is as good as Drake's, Rubinacci, and Hermes.
I could talk all day about the process that went into printing these squares. I'm pretty proud of them. They're selling very well, and most will probably go out of stock soon. Restock will be in two months.
I just realized I set the wrong weight for the sneakers. So now you can get $28 first class international.
Correct. No expiration. Not sure why they say that. I'll try to get them to correct it.
Any plans to have the sneakers in different colors of leather?
Brown, Black, Navy?
I've been a huge fan of your polos and grenadine ties, looking to expand into your suits. Any chance of doing a maroon/crimson grenadine tie similar to your burgundy? Are you planning to expand your shoe collection? I plan on buying a pair of your black balmorals and would jump at the chance to get a pair in brown, as I am not a fan of cap-toes.
Keep up the great work. The idea of detail/construction/quality focused guy trying to build his own wardrobe with his own products and selling them to like minded friends is fantastic.
aaarrgghhhhhh ! i want to get the UD promo thats on atm, but UD do not accept intl. credit cards !
any other options???
Deerskin gloves are back in stock.
I think I'll do black next and then grey. Those will probably be coming in March 2013 or later.
I don't think the grenadine producers make a maroon color.
I think the plaintoe balmoral is best for black. I prefer captoe for brown and other colors. Plaintoe and captoe are so similar stylistically that it's difficult to justify making the same colors in each.
Hey Kent, any chance the sneakers will come in half sizes by spring? They look gorgeous but I am pretty solidly 9.5.
Kent, if we want to give someone a gift card as a present is there any physical version of the gift certificate/card you do, or just the online code we get when we complete the purchase of the gift card?
There is not a physical version, but you could always buy a paper greeting card and write a note with the code. We do have gift envelopes.
I was hoping to buy your navy polo. I'm 5'8, 145 pounds, so I think I'll probably need a small. You're out of smalls right now in Navy. Will there be a restock soon?
Would anyone be willing to proxy the UD code for me? I've had such good experience with KW stuff in the past (wearing a polo as I'm typing), just a shame this is only available to US customers
