Twitter users expressed their outrage online after fashion designer Kenneth Cole made an "inappropriate" comment about Egypt on his Twitter account Thursday.

"Millions are in uproar in #Cairo. Rumor is they heard our new spring collection is now available online at http://bit.ly/KCairo -KC," Cole tweeted Thursday morning. (According to a note on the account, tweets by him are signed, "KC.")

Twitter users quickly responded in outrage.

"Well @kennethcole, that was wildly inappropriate," tweeted Kaylie Nelson.

"Keep it classy @KennethCole. Never shopping there again. . . ," responded Dave Reed.

"You should be ashamed of yourselves @KennethCole ! How tasteless and insensitive! People are dying there!" Husain AlTamimi tweeted.

Cole tweeted an apology about an hour later: "Re Egypt tweet: we weren't intending to make light of a serious situation. We understand the sensitivity of this historic moment -KC."

Kenneth Cole is doing the world a favor favor by making people upset to the point of boycotting his products.

It is kinda funny, but then again I have a dark sense of humor...

Then again, I am sure shareholders are in uproar as well...

Square toes aren't that useful in a riot environment...
