Kenneth Cole Slim Collection Suit opinions

Hello everyone,
I was looking at Overstock.com the other day and they have Kenneth Cole Slim collection suits on there for under $200. That sounds pretty good for a cheap but stylish suit!

I think these are made in India... It says they are made of 100% wool. Does anyone have any of these? are they worth it? What is the quality like? Does anyone know what kind of wool they generally use? good/bad/etc...

Thanks!

KC is not going to get any love on this forum. But ... as has been said before ... if it fits well .. that takes precedence over anything else. Especially at those prices.

I briefly possessed one, thinking the same as you are, but the material was very disappointing, even for a $200 suit.

I'm not knowledgeable enough to specify the exactly type of fabric, but the sleeves had that feeling of weightlessness and 'cling' that I sometimes see on a cheap (more often women's) business jacket, and had a somewhat rough texture, like a close-grained canvas.

You can do better.

Got one of those on overstock a while ago (before finding this website) and it just didn't work out. The fabric is crappy and the pants are kinda flared, rather tight and, um, revealing in the crotch area. Not sure if they are all like that.

You can get a JAB suit for much less and equal if not better quality. Arguably.

*sigh* All that money wasted at MWH. At least $500 down the drain there... Oh well, I got a sport jacket and some pants out of whatever I bought from them. Wish I could salvage that KC suit I've got sitting in the closet... Can't even orphan the pants. :| Stupid pin dots.

I need a cheap suit fast and don't really have the cash for a nice suit at the moment. And I'm not sure about the quality of this suit (I know it sucks) in relation to other things? How does it compare to like say mall brand suits like Banana Republic or J. Crew or anything else that's mass made and easy to find in a department store? Thanks.

I am not familiar with afore mentioned brand at all but in my experience most of the cheeper off the shelf stuff is of comparable quality.
At least around here.

if you need a cheep suit fast though and that one fits I guess that is the right one.
You can always sell sell it on ebay or something when you are done with it, I am sure someone will buy it.
