Bad luck buying good shoes or just another plot by the "Man"?

A pair of Tremezza won on ebay. They are mismates, 2 different sizes.

My first pair of EG (RLPL), Grapevinehill could'n find the shoes.

A pair of EG from the sale, were too wide. They would have looked like this pair:

Next month I will be in DC, Sky Valet will be my first stop. With the money I got back from shoes purchases, I hope to buy a pair from Sky Valet.

Meanwhile I missed out on these gators for $208

Man, that's some pretty terrible luck! At least you haven't actually lost any money, just time and frustration (which is bad enough). I once had two eBay shoe purchases in a row go wrong...in both cases, I was sent someone else's auction winnings! And let me tell you, these were some fugly shoes. However, the sellers were gracious and promptly contacted the other winners so we could drop-ship the shoes to each other (paid by the sellers, of course), so in the end both auctions worked out.

By the way, I used to sell shoes to a man who would wax poetic about the old days and "yella 'gator Stacey Adams shoes!" His teenage hip hop son, meanwhile, would cringe painfully. I understand...my own son would probably have a fit if I started lyricizing about my headbanger days.

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
