KASHIYAMA the Smart Tailor NYC - has anyone tried them

I am a suit noob in need of suits, and have a difficult time getting anything that fits off the rack.

Saw an ad for KASHIYAMA the Smart Tailor mtm suits, they look nice but I don't know enough to judge. https://kashiyama1927.com/

Does anyone have experience with their midtown NYC locations?

Any comments on their quality, design, materials is greatly appreciated.

Well, It starts at $300 so its not that big of a gamble.

I saw the price and immediately thought "Indochino" to myself.

Had to push the appointment back due to conflicts but the overall experience was disappointing. Their trial suit that they use to fit you feels terrible. The fabric that they offer on their starting price is actually a polyester blend. If you want Italian fabric (VBC, Loro, etc) you are looking at $800+ for a half canvas suit / $1,000 for full canvas (buttons and lining are extra). Depending on your budget, you may be better off ordering from an online MTO or Keng Wang if you are in NY.

Very much a no-go for me - I'll stick with Spier and Mackay.
