some other styles: http://flickr.com/photos/timo/49408712/in/dateposted/ Karhu was also used by legendary Finnish runner, Paavo Nurmi. Nurmi was considered the best middle and long distance runner in the world, setting many world records during his career. Nurmi won a total of nine gold and three silver medals in the 12 events he competed in at the Olympics from 1920 to 1928.

i like! a cooler take on the Nike Dunks. so who are the US stockist and how much we talking about here?

and i knew i had seen that name before. i'm pretty sure the same company makes a lot of cross country gear (esp. seeing as they're Finnish).

I kind of like the Jukola and String Volley. The high top isn't my style, but the athletic running shoes look interesting. And here I thought they only made XC gear!

since you're in finland, does the finnish clothing brand "protesta" still exist?

i last saw it about 4 years ago but it just seems to have disappeared, maybe not in business anymore

Same here, I can't remember ever hearing about Protesta. Four years ago I wasn't so educated regarding clothing so that's not actually a miracle, thou..

Karhu were the first to use the three stripes... adidas later made them famous after they bought the rights to use them.
