For the real cold season in Chicago, Kapital makes a Melton wool ring coat that is really nice. Independence usually gets a few of them in the fall if you want to check it out.

Frankly for real winter, I am plenty covered with tons of thick coats. The ring coat would be for in between seasons although I think it might warm enough with a sweater for days above 0 Celsius. Though another thing that I love about Kapital is it goes really really well with my thrifted winter jackets.

And yes it does look good with a hoodie. Sorta wish i had the room / spare cash to buy one in denim, would be a great look with some white painters pants.. Maybe next time I'm in Japan, Japan MSRP aint even bad. It's about 8*C here and this was just slightly warm enough, anything lower and I'd be wanting a wool one.

Still a bit confused on how to turn it into shawl collar mode, where's the hood in this photo? My hood when not in use is sorta just tucked into the back neck area, but maybe you can roll it up in the shawl without making it too bulky somehow?

Looks like the hood is already out in that photo. It tucks up into the neck shawl and buttons in the back.

bought this blue bandana at Indigo and Cotton in Charleston a few weeks ago, and then wore it like a sweatband on my head like a weirdo during my road trip this weekend to keep my hair out of my eyes. just washed it in the sink and it dried in 2 hours. good job Kapital

Can anyone comment on the fit of the Hospital Jacket this season?

I'm 5'11, 155lbs with a 38" chest. Going off the measurements, I'm guessing I'm somewhere between a size 2 and 3. The size 2 looks like it might be too short, whereas the 3 might be a little oversized.

Yet another ring coat question (sorry I know it's been beat to death)

5'9" ~165 lbs, I'm thinking a 2 would be pretty perfect (gold ripstop), but I found a denim in size 3 and it's quite tempting...

Is the denim nicer than ripstop? I like the variation in materials and the idea of the indigo fading with the denim but I'm afraid a 3 will be too long for me (don't mind an oversized, drapier fit, just don't want the sleeves to bunch up too much or look bad). Also the ripstop is cheaper. Could also wait till the F/W stuff drops. Lots to think about

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey all! KOUNTRY came for the season and it is is killer. I've found this is a pretty low friction way to show how a garment sits - a little better than a photo IMO. Any feedback is appreciated! Still awaiting our proper Kapital shipment, but that should be here fairly soon as well. This time last year the Bones stuff was gone a little too quick. We have a little more this time around... if it piques your interest hop on it before the resellers find out, ha!

As always feel free to hit me up here or at [email protected] <3

I'm 6'0", 161 lbs and denim one in size 3 was way too big, size 2 is a nicely oversized fit on me. Also note that denim ones fit slightly longer than other ring coats, not much but noticeably.
