So with all this talk about century denim. What's your favorite version? No 5, 7 or 1-2-3? Or something else? Why?

Trying to make a decision on what kind to go for first.

I started with 123-s since they're relatively muted compared to the other versions, easier to pair and I like how they lighten up with wear. In saying that, No 3, 5 and 7 are special in their own right. The main downside though they are priced at a premium compared to the other versions, but occasionally will pop up on Y! Jp auction at better prices compared to international retailers.

Too bad size 34s never come up on Yahoo, Rakuten etc... ?

A rarity for sure as of late, but wouldn't say impossible. I think earlier this year there were a handful of worn ones size 32-34s that randomly showed up. I suppose another alternative is to put in an order via proxy although not too familiar how that would work out since there's no product link you could refer to on Kap's site.

I got my size 36 on Grailed for 221 shipped - $181 without - that were new without tags.

No 5 though. Very happy with them.

Honestly that is pretty good. Buying Kapital on grailed tends to be absolutely dumb most of the time. People in all caps posting RARE, and selling a piece that is still for sale at retailers for close to double the cost at times.

I've gotten some good deals here and there, but people posting like as if people actually collect Kapital. They make a billion and a half pieces per season, I could only imagine what a Kapital collectors house looks like.

I see a pair of no 7s from a EU retailer that cost £359 (about 450 usd). Seems pretty expensive... :(

Yeah I have been browsing quite a bit because I’m selling a lot of my old gear. It’s insane to see folks selling kapital stuff that at the time I had in stock in the store for well under resale value lol

selling an old Noragi I chainstitched a chain graphic into the back pretty subtly, tho. Hoping someone snags

It is really funny seeing the prices some people put Kapital up on grailed for. Especially when you can find it in a shop for less.

Are you guys getting in any of the cool patchwork pants and Beethoven stuff from their FW 2020 lookbook?

Ya, I've seen listings for bandanas that are in the current collection and available for about $35, marked as "RARE" and "SOLD OUT" and with asking price of $150. I never did understand how that worked.

Yeah I saw that one, the one in washed mid blue denim, right? I actually just bought the same one from this years collection. Seems like a very easy piece to fit in a lot of different fits.

Anyway, GLWS buddy.

Taking advantage of people that don't know any better I guess.

I feel like if you know enough to search out Kapital, you probably search around for this stuff. It shows too because I see a lot of stuff sitting for months if not years sometimes. There was been some stuff reposted to death. I used to look at the Kapital listings obsessively, I’ve found some awesome stuff like duke shirts, denim baseball shirt etc for less than 100 bucks but there are a ton of weird kooks on there for sure.
