@KamoteJoe's pants are super cool. Kind of remind me of this photo of A Tribe Called Quest

I picked up the indigo patchwork Katmandu shirt about three months ago, and finally started wearing it recently.

I'm loving it. The sleeves are a little long for my stubby arms and I'm contemplating if I should shorten them a little bit, but I otherwise am very satisfied with it.

I also picked up a melton wool Ring coat that I won't be wearing for a few months.

Here's hoping I can style the coat properly. I imagine I'll get confused a few times.

Funny you mention those - they're two of my favourite Kapital pieces - this is what I wore today:

Here's a quick fit pic. Pardon the picture quality, lighting and pose.

The sleeves are too long, thanks to my short arms. It's not as obvious on the left because the linen runs along the entire sleeve, but you can see it bunching up on my right wrist where's a linen patch.

I'm now contemplating getting the short sleeve equivalent. :decisions:

Seems like you could also wear it with the sleeves rolled up a little for the time being. Nice shirt!

That would be what I would do—roll up the sleeves a bit. Sloppy like. Plus, if it hasn't been washed before, it'll shrink up a bit.

@Gerry Nelson: Ahh yes, I recall a couple of pictures of you wearing the Katmandu. I like how you styled it!

You could easily get the sleeves altered I think

I never tend to roll up my sleeves, so I never gave that any thought about it. The shirt is pretty loose around the cuffs so it wouldn't take much effort to do that.

It's been handwashed once, but I'm going to do that one more time before taking it to a tailor to factor in some minor shrinkage.

Thanks for the feedback, folks. I'm happy to finally start wearing some of the Kapital stuff I got. Itching to get more stuff from them - In one sense, I'm sort of glad I haven't learned to navigate Rakuten/Yahoo Auctions Japan yet.

Yup, that's some Ring Coat.

Speaking of places to buy Kapital, noticed the the Bureau Belfast has quite a range at not crazy prices and in various sizes.

Is that the one from Unionmade? Impressive!

I'm curious as to what you'll wear it with.

Thanks boys. Not sure if unionmade ever carried it, but they don't seem to anymore. I got this one nwot from grailed so not sure of the provenance.

I figure I'll try to keep everything else simple and wear it as the main piece. It's def the most standout coat I have, so if I can pull it off, I'll start venturing into some crazier territory

Whats the long ring coat sizing like? I see conflicting measurements on sites.. are they very oversized?

Chest is huge but sleeve length is not.

I have a somewhat long neck-to-wrist measurement for my US size, Small, and a 1 was too short in the arms for me to use it as a real winter piece, though it seemed fine in all other measurements iirc. Size 2 was great. But Kapital size 1 is like XS in US sizes, right?

I'd love to compare my size 2 coat to a size 3 sometime to see if stuff like the hood height gets taller. Obviously it's a very deep hood but I could use another inch or two so it's not compressing my neck in certain positions.

This reflects my experience as well. Not sure about the hood, though, since I never compared as well.
