I'm around a 35-36 waist. I'm usually an XL-XXL in other Japanese brands. I haven't tried anything from Kapital before, but I was told the brand fit really big most of the time.

I was looking at something like this: https://mhny.nyc/products/kapital-bandana-cross-easy-pants-black?variant=40071781548221
Some Kapital stuff fits huge, other stuff fits quite small. My own (maybe not super accurate) rule of thumb, is if it only comes in size 1 or 3, it's gonna be real oversized and I go with a 3. If it has other sizes, e.g. 1-5, then I'm either a 4 or 5, depending on how loose I want it.

Yeah sounds like you'll have a hard time finding something that will fit relaxed on you, at least when it comes to pants. You could always take a gamble on a size 4 in those easy pants, but chances are they won't fit.

I see. Well going based off the measurements, it should fit? I also just got the smiley easy pants in and they fit, but I need to lose a couple lbs

Are the smiley easy pants the same kind as those bandana print ones? If so then you seem to be all set. 👍

Edit: imho buying clothes that will only fit after you loose weight/bulk up/do some other change to your body etc is never a good idea....

On the whole, I’d say Kapital runs small compared to US sizing, unless it’s an intentionally oversized piece. I’m not a super duper old Kapital head, but if you start going back anything more than a couple years, my experience is that the ratio of pieces that’d fit a loose US L or XL vs. not gets even smaller, as they probably had a very little non-Japanese market then.

Yea it looks like the button up shirts and kakashis are a no go if you're a US large or bigger unless it's purposely oversized. Size 5 kakashis are rare but they only have a 23.5" pit to pit. Definitely looks to be on the slim side especially when kakashis look better slouchy/oversized.

Even the jeans look to fit small. I'm pretty much limited to the ring coat and the oversized stuff if the length is right.

Yea, the jeans run small too. I’m pretty much a true 33” waist, and the size 34 Century Denim is uncomfortably snug after just a couple cold soaks (incidentally, if anyone wants a pair of 1-2-3 Century Denim in size 34, mine may be for sale).

Danzig is awesome. Kapital stripper stuff not so much. We'll see where this marketing goes - apparently this all relates to something that will be posted on the Kap website tomorrow.
Agree! Danzig II: Lucifuge is probably my favourite, but I love the early Misfits era with Danzig as well.

Interested to see where Kapital goes from this Instagram post.

Frankly maybe as a Mexican who lived in the US half my life's stripping seems so inoffensive considering the fact that Kapital has done sleezy type shoots and looks before. Especially when you are talking about Americana, stripping is truly am american pastime even if I have never went to one.

People commenting on Kapital's marketing at this point hasn't seen their past work. I used to hate walking into he Osaka stock room when there was a giant photo/poster of a what could only be described as "sex on a car" poster they used for a Kountry look book years ago.

Not to mention any of the random penis pics, or weird polaroid pornographic shit in the dressing rooms of the older stores; duffle, legs, and Kojima... I think most people feel Kapital is so "extreme" is that the other "denim brands" out there are so boring you couldn't tell one from the other without looking at the tags... not that I applaud this sort of annoying disruptive "marketing" TBH its 99% posturing company wise, such a boring typical "black-kigyo" company its funny that people actually fall for the image they put out there.

Honestly this one isn't even all that sleezy, but it certainly lacks any memorable or substantial style influences.
