ok so it's the full-blown 9.5cm collar?
i bought a kamakura regular fit shirt once and it had a smaller collar.
seems only their slim fits have the full-size collar. their customer service rep told me that.
so, just wanting to confirm. have owned two kamakura shirts but got rid of both—one had the small collar, the other ended up being too small for me. i'm thinking giving them one final go with the new york slim fit.

I want to order some Kamakura shirts and I am interested to find out the length of the collar point of the SPORT button down model. Can anyone confirm it is 9.5cm?

In addition, I read that the placket front is slightly wider, does anyone know the width?

Thank you in advance!!

I asked them about Button-down collar lengths last year.

Kamakura said:
The point length of our button down collars are 8.8 cm in slim fit and 8.3 in our classic fit. We recently have updated our models of our shirts. It is called "Manhattan model," and the basic shirts are sold for 89 dollars. We also sell our previous models at the same time. The point length of our previous button down are 9.0 in slim fit and 8.5 in classic fit.

I have a Spread Collar shirt (Slim Fit) and it's about 8.5 cm.

Eyeballing the new Sport model stock photos... I think it's the same, or maybe slightly larger than the 8.8 cm. They all look good to me and I wouldn't overthink it.

Thanks for sharing!

It seems like a proper sized button down, especially the SPORT. Let's see how it looks in real life.

The shirt shipped from their New Jersey warehouse, so its branded as part of their USA identity (the two white dots on the tag are their Manhattan stores).

16-33.5 is a "Tokyo" size, so you got the right shirt.

Thanks so much for the info.
From the shipment tracking, it indicated that the package came out of Japan.
I am situated in Asia.

My first shirt from them and definitely not the last.

Interesting, do you know which site you ordered from?

kamakurashirts.com is the USA site

Kamakurashirts.net is their international site

Then looks like they’re phasing out non Manhattan all around, even for non US market?
