hey all. under the recommendation of a friend who picked up work as a model, I went into the agency and much to my surprise was offered a contract. However, they said that in order for me to maximize how much work I get, I need to tone, build muscle and lose some of my baby fat (i am 16). I'm 6'0, 148, skinny, and have little muscle.

I just joined my local gym, but am feeling rather out-to-sea in the weight rooms, as I have no clue how many reps of what part of my body to work, how many times a week etc. Thanks in advance!

Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

Get a personal trainer, meet for a few times and tell him what you need to accomplish, and that you would like a program design. You need to learn technique over all.
Also, SoCal2NYC is into triathalons and iron men competitions, you should PM him a picture of yourself shirtless and he can give you the best tips for achieving that sexy glistening...

um tone you want.

Let me understand.. Someone can post a thread about being vegetarian and how great it is. Someone can post linking the reader to pictures of their greasy, unkempt hair asking for stylistic advice. Someone can ask about how to lose the weight they put on at age _____. yet a question regarding getting toned and in shape in the least amount of time is regarded as douchey? My bad. I figured that everyone had been in my boat at some point, and would've been willing to share what they did initially to begin hitting the gym most effectively.

No one wants to talk about it. They just want you to read an old post. It's archival history.

Why are you always in such a foul mood lately? Complaining about that one issue every single time hasn't got old yet?

I would not run 6x a week if you are trying to gain some lbs. Even if you are looking to drop baby fat I would keep cardio to a minimum and do most to all of your work in the gym. My guess is if you have never really lifted then that should be enough to lose the baby fat while toning.

My guess is your agency will want you at around 155, maybe maybe 160...

After you drop the excess fat that should be a pretty attainable goal.

Don't go crazy lifting weights your first couple of weeks. Let your body get accustomed to it. A lot of people go nuts and lift too much weights and do too many exercises and wake up the next day in complete pain and it's not good for your tendons
