Just screwed up..a Really huge screw up. Need help ASAP.

Shoooot. I ordered an item (gift card) online worth $65. I had 35 on my Paypal account and $30 from an old AMEX gift card. I thought that i would use the $35 on my Paypal account, and complete the purchase with the remaining amount on my AMEX Gift card. But the purchase went through as if I had the $65 on my Paypal account. I dont know what to do here, I never really used paypal, and now I know why.

you have various options when funding a purchase through paypal.

usually, payment will come out of any paypal balance you have first,
and then by default, rest of payment will come from the checking account you linked.

if you purchased online through an established store, you can simply request for a refund on the store's end.

I have heard, in certain States, that Paypal related crime is a capital offense. In Rhode Island instead of the usual lethal injection an obscure law permits stoning and slow castration with the use of pit bulls in cases like this.

same thing happened to me last month. you are totally f*cked. You need to file a dispute with Paypal, Amex dispute, Better Business Bureau complaint and be prepared to argue with all 3 credit bureaus to restore your pristine credit history. If you happen to receive the gift card, don't use it because Office of Homeland Security will by riding your ass in Gitmo. in short, you are f$cked
