I am not feeling the chair table combo, I think the chairs have potential. But that table no. I think a modern white or black blocky type table with a glass top over solid wood table... I'm not the greatest at design, but again just not feeling the above combo.

Sell them and get something less "extra chairs for possible overflow at the lecture"

power washed and degreased, they look new

not going ito the formal dining room, but an off kitchen table area

looking for this type of feel, not as cluttered, home was built by a local architect for himself in the mid 60's, perfect fit

I'm not a big fan of the chairs. They remind me of classroom or breakroom chairs.

But, hey, I had these for my kitchen chairs in the late 90's-'03 and not everyone liked them. But I did. I used them around a large, natural wood table.

wow. none of the dudes replying in this thread seem to know much about midcentury design. in case you guys didn't know, those red chairs are the BMW 2002 of the interior design world. and in case you don't know what a BMW 2002 is, then

are the 14 chairs you got actual eames chairs? if so, that's a once in a lifetime deal you found. :slayer:

yep actual Eames, they were sitting in the basement of a client for years...I've done him some pro bono in the past, so when I saw them he said 'just get them out of here', I told him they were worth 200/each, we looked on ebay, he said take 'em, so I obliged

I'm with pocketsquare guy, modern/metal or plastic chairs + old wood table=good fit. In fact I'm looking for some chairs for just such a table, not settled yet but I might boring and also go with some eames in white, I already have some though so it'll look a little bit like eames overflow.

ps: I don't know what a BMW 2002 is and I don't give a fuck, cars suck and car designers make Richard Mille and Christian Audigier look like people in possession of taste.

We used Emecos with our wood table (which I believe I posted in this home thread at some point) but they were cold and uncomfortable. Then we switched to Bertoia, which arent really better.

Those Eames are really comfy though...Bertoia not so much + if you sit on them too long you look like you're into S&M when you remove your pants, well that might be a plus.
