Just picked up some new Incotex pants.......cuff or no cuff?

I went to Daffys and lucked out, got some 100% cotton casual unhemmed Incotex pants for only $23.99 each.

Now I have to decide whether or not to tell my tailer to make cuffs on the legs. What does SF think? The pants look like your average run-of-the-mill khakis. My gut reaction is to ask for cuffs, but I keep seeing people around town wearing khaki-esque pants without cuffs.

Cuffs will cost $5-$10 extra, which to me is nothing considering how much I paid for the pants.

I bought two pairs......I was actually thinking of having cuffs made on one and no cuffs on the other (for variety's sake). What do you guys think about this option?

Again, these are casual pants. I would not be wearing these to work (except on casual Fridays).

Cuffs on one and plain hem on the other sounds like a fine approach. I'm surprised your tailor is charging extra for cuffs. Didn't know doing it was extra work.

If you think about it $10 is almost 50% of the price of the pants (sounds like adding cuffs is actually about $15 total, which is over 60% of the price of the pants), so it "something."

I don't think cuffs or no cuffs adds any element of formality. It's part of your style, and if you like the look, go for it.

i just brought 2 pairs of slim incotex to my tailor this morning, one in light blue, the other an army chino; both 1.75" cuffs.

I have Incotex cotton-linen pants that aren't cuffed. I don't know what sort of negative experience you've imagined, but I can't think of anything to complain about.

I never get cuffs on any pants. I'm on the shorter side and I'll take as long a line as I can get, thankyouverymuch.

This is my cuffing algorithm for all the latest Incotex purchases.

1.75" cuffs on:

- Wool pants

- Chino Linos (all four I have coming
)

- Dressier cotton chinos, inco chinos or ice cotton.

No cuffs:

- the more faded, wrinkly, casual looking ones.

- the ones with cargo pockets, jeans-style, or open patch back pockets.
