JUst Inherited This BB Trench Coat

greetings,

i just inherited this brooks brothers lined trench coat:

sorry this is the only decent image i could find on the entire internets.

anyone know anything about the history of this BB coat? when was this item made/sold/popular? is this from the 70's?

also, i'm not even sure i could pull this look off. i'm in my early 30's and i dress more bohemian.

this is also my first trench. any ideas how to dress this down or make it more rock and roll?

does, anyone have any ideas about this trench?

like i said, this is my first trench. does the fabric wick moisture? can i wear it in light rain/snow?

get it tailored to be as slim as possible (arms and body) and just rock it with confidence. Its very circa 70's pimp. Given its a trench its designed to keep you dry...so i wouldn't worry about that.

Once you have done as NYR suggests then

Slim dark jeans, heavy knitwear, and boots. Simple stuff. At least that's what I would wear with it.

I don't think it is a trench coat. It looks like a lined overcoat with a belt.
