Were the police officer's shoes patent leather, corrected calf, or top grain leather?

isn't it illegal for the jury to discuss the case on a forum like this?

It very well may be, but no one is doing that here. The op is an attorney that is awaiting the jury's verdict.

The DA "cut" the defendant a good deal as the victim's initial conduct did not appear "sympathetic" and appealed only to the most prurient of interests.

Yes Mayhem, it still a crime in California

Not very creative. I recall an incident here on the East coast involving a **********, a remote, deserted public restroom facility, and two 9 inch antique hat pins.

It was hours before a good Samaritan happened by and summoned help...

I'm just trying to envision the cross examination of a witness for that case... "And after that, what happened to the severed penis?"

I always tell clients who insist on going to trial--with a jury--to look what the first one did in the OJ case. I know the feeling--when I hear some of the questions I wonder if they were listening at all! But, in all honesty, being a juror is a brutal experience. Good luck with the case.

So, the jury split the baby and agreed to vote not guilty on the first two counts if the holdout voted guilty on the last two.
