    jumpsuit |ˈjəm(p)ˌso͞ot|
    noun
a garment incorporating trousers and a sleeved top in one piece, worn as a fashion item, protective garment, or uniform. ORIGIN 1940s (originally US): so named because it was first used to denote a parachutist's garment.

here's where we laugh at, I mean, talk about how cool jumpsuits are.

Anyway, I briefly tried this last winter but couldn't find the right body/leg length combination.

I think the only tolerable option is something similar to that Harnden model aka old workwear 1:1 copy : cotton twill, buttons front, wide legs.

A cheap and readily available milsurp option that fits those criteria is the old US army type 1 coveralls in od green sateen cotton from up until the 1970s or so (I think), there's a later version that's still 100% cotton but with velcro closure, which sucks.
You may need to size up.

^ that looks really cool to me  love the pockets.

utilitarian fabric and design seems to jive better with this than the desginery luxe versions.

Well you've convinced to give the US army type 1 a try: I mean, for $30 on ebay, there's nothing to lose

I have a few sets of coveralls that were Marine Corps issued that I use when I'm working on Jeep or helping my father-in-law on his old Model As and Model Ts but, no matter how cool some of the photos I see of folks wearing them in other settings look, I just cannot bring myself to wear them outside of the garage.

^ yeah, it's a very deliberate choice to wear them as fashion, outside of the utilitarian purpose.

    a few more random photos:

Nah, that’s a jumpsuit and looks dope as hell. Think I’ve seen fotos of both him and Paul wearing them... Captain Sensible too, perhaps?
