These soles are glued on (bond welted) but can be resoled probably once by a competant cobbler, yes.

MOL- thanks for the quick response. I am curious though, you say that they can be resoled once, what would stop me from getting them resoled another time? Couldn't a cobbler just stitch on another sole?

Well I say once because you need the welt to hold the sole. As long as the welt is on good condition it can be done or maybe done again.
A different example would be a Goodyear welted shoe (example-Allen Edmonds), where they can be completely recrafted at factory. This procedure will include a new welt so more re-soles are possible but then the condition of the upper will determine things. With a Goodyear Welt, the welt is sewn onto the upper and the sole sewn onto the welt. On these J&M's it appears as the sole is glued to the welt but I could be wrong. ..hard to tell from the photo.
For these J&M's you'll probably easily get one resole..maybe two but you'll probably tire of them by the time the soles are done and move on to better shoes.
