While shopping at the supermarket I wandered over to the alcohol section to pick up some whiskey. I was thinking about a bottle of Johnny Walker black as I haven't had any in a while and that particular supermarket has a fairly limited selection of whiskeys. To my delight, I found the JW Black to be on sale and to have a free promotional item...an electric shoe polishing thing! Wow, two of my passions together! Now, the question is...should I actually use this thing or will it make a mess of my shoes?

I wouldn't use it on your good shoes - maybe just try it out on your "rainy day shoes" first...

depends on how much johnny walker you've had. If you've had enough, you really won't care about the results

I have a plug-in version of this made by Ronson - it works surprisingly well, but mine has these flannel pads that snap over a soft holder and spin. It also probably has a lot more torque - you could almost use it for burnishing actually.
