John Varvatos overcoats - cut full or slim?

Hi folks,

I just found a John Varvatos overcoat online in a 44R (I usually wear a 42R). Anyone know if Varvatos coats have a slim or full cut?

I'd order the 44R if it only needs to be taken in a bit. But if it's too big, maybe the alternations would be too extensive and not realistic?

Thanks for any input!

My last John Varvatos Mainline (made in Italy and not John Varvatos USA) overcoat purchase (from their boutique in Las Vegas) was on the slimmer side.

I bought a Varvatos mainline coat from Saks about three years ago. It is cut as expected for an overcoat, neither particularly slim nor full. Also, it's terrible - the fabric has gotten very nappy despite only about 100-150 days of wear. I am not impressed at all.
