    Tokyo's a little precious....

i think a square waist would help with this....

Now, with that said, JLPB is still the bees-knees...

well, these are bespoke samples so.... [IMG]

Are those really going to be bespoke?

I like the second sandle. That's probably the only one I'd wear.

What is that embroidery on the back of the Moscow?

other shoemakers offer this as well (e.g. clairvoy http://www.clairvoy.fr/index_gb.html, go to men's collection and look under finishes).

    Seriously, WTF are these abortions?!?!

JLP has been offering sandals for several years at least, so these aren't really new.

Perhaps they mold the footbed to the shape of your foot?

Just saw these IRL. All bespoke, all individualized. The sandals were the "Dubai," too hot to wear in NYC. Folks laugh, but true bespoke is whatever people want, and JLP takes it, leather and craftsmanship wise, to a level where there is no comparison. Of course, their classic bespoke models, as Manton would say, are "the $#!+."

This is what I mean. Took this from their bespoke catalogue for a future order.

    Thing of beauty indeed.

JL make my favorite shoes. I would not wear them all, but I would buy almost any of them, preferably on sale. Some of the colors and boots pictured would not work for me. Most of the JL shoes are a little more dressy looking than I like. But in general, they fit me better than any other shoe off the rack, and I have learned to love them as a result.

What's not to understand? Abu Dhabi has lots of money. (You should see their new mosque, it's crazy!) Why would a Sheik wear the same sandals as Joe Shmoe? I understand why JLP would try to tap that market.

Pity many of them are so foul. Some of John Lobb's recent releases have been very nice: I think the Darby II is the most beautiful shoe they've come up with in ages.
