John Lobb Shoe Question?

A question for all those John Lobb experts-
I recently found a pair of mint, cordovan double-monk John Lobb shoes and am trying to find out a little bit more about their original value and provenance. They appear to have been worn five times at the most (virtually no wear on the sole)- and I paid $550 for them. I feel like I got a great deal, but I am curious to know if I am really actually a fool for paying so much. The woman who sold them to me did not know much about them.

What I know: (I would post pics but my camera is busted)
They are made in England;
they have what seem to be custom John Lobb shoe trees that say "Vintage" on them in silver;
they are cordovan- (which I thought John Lobb didn't use);
they say "JohnLobb2000" on the inside;
they have a number stamped on the bottom, under where it says "John Lobb Made in England";
And they have a red star stamped on the inside of the shoe.

Forgive my ignorance, but can anyone tell me about these- My thought is that they were custom ordered, but I have no idea.
Thanks for any help!

Do they look like this? Sound like the JL Vintage 2000 model (they come up with a special edition every year)

Are you sure about the cordovan part?

Probably not shell but "claret" calf.

They look very similar to this- (sorry about no pic) but the buckles are a little different and the sole has a kind "JL" design on the sole. Not sure about the cordovan. Wondering whether it is feasible? It is not creased like calf, but it feels a little soft and I thought Lobb never used cordovan.... I am just a Lobb layman though.
