John Lobb goes duck bill square toes??!! What last is that? Is it a John Lobb?

Kenneth Cole ruined the square toe shoe for a generation, but I don't think that makes it wrong for other makers to use them more tastefully. Those are actually very nice, and wouldn't be mistaken for one of KC corrected leather manifestos.

Those may actually be worse than KCs because they are a waste of good materials and construction that could have been put towards crafting a real shoe.

Can anyone here confirm that these are even authentic? I have never ever heard of the 7797 last, nor have I ever seen a pair of JL that looks remotely like this

I don't think the toe itself is that bad -- it's the ridiculously squared stitching that does the shoe in.
