I think but am not certain the John Lobb Garnier (8695 last) is classic line and John Lobb Garnier II (7000 last) is prestige line.

it does not have the soles like the classic line.

There is a JL thread; posting your question there might get a response. I don't know how long the "Prestige" line has been around but maybe that Garnier was made before there was a differentiation. The now "Classic" line typically has brown soles whereas the current "Prestige" has the contrasting soles. The heel counter on the pic also shows that this is one of the older models because they started using the "JL" heels.
