I want to get a pair of Lobbs in blue. I'm trying to decide between the Becketts and the Luffield. Which of these do you think would look best in this color?

I think the color lends itself more naturally to a derby than oxford. I would go with Luffield in blue. That being said, the Chapel double monk also comes in museum blue and that could be incredible too.

I love this color. I prefer the look of the Luffield to the Beckett in blue, but that's just my opinion. I actually almost picked up a pair when I was last in the boutique, but I couldn't figure out what I'd wear them with. What do you wear with blue shoes?

I don't know folks, I'm leaning towards the Becketts.. I have this grayish glennplaid suit with blue in it that I think the Becketts would work really well with.

Both of your choices look very elegant. Of course we will need pictures with the suit. I agree with aportnoy that the double monks might be the piece de resistance, but not everyone loves monks with a suit.

I would go with Luffield in blue if it was me.

Any pictures of this color on an actual shoe? It looks much too bright from the website but if its a more pale blue then i think it could work. If i could i would buy as many lobbs as i could in the Parisian or Chestnut brown mesuem calf.

I love their "claret" calf which is a nice burgundy. Hopefully the red is a toned-down cordovan shade too. This is the blue on the Luffield:

Sorry, no photos to offer, but I can say that it is a deep, rich, blue. Not nearly as light, to my eys, as it appears on the Lobb site.

Edit: Bah! and zjpj83 beats me to my little comment with pictures no less.

Man, Those are sweet! Definetly not a shoe I would personally buy without adding more staples to my collection but if you have the disposable income i would certaintly go with those not seeing the oxfords.

The Luffield is an awesome shoe. Do you think you can pull it off in blue? It a bit flamboyant, don't you think?
