John Lobb Dark Oak

Every time I see a photograph of shoes identified as Lobb Dark Oak, they appear very different -- sometimes like a deep, dark brown, and others as much lighter, somewhat tan/red/orange. I suspect that has something to do with the difficulties in posting images that accurately capture the color, or perhaps variations in the shoes themselves. Can someone describe the color to me, or post pictures of shoes that you think capture what it looks like?

My EG Dark Oak shoes are a deep rich brown. No tan / red/ orange. hope that helps
