John Lobb, Cole Haan, Nike... Is there a gap?

I was just wondering does anyone else face my problem today? I really love a clean, classy, sleek, comfortable but slightly unique shoe. I am looking for a sort of everyday shoe that you just go to without even thinking. I am currently in love with the John Lobb tyne as the combination of shape and sleekness is just fantastic and different to anything I have seen , however, at £690 are just too expensive to justify. I continue to look for something within the £100-200 range and Cole Haan popped up, however, they just don't quite do it for me, they look comfy but aesthetically just dont quite do it for me. Of course you could go the other-way and find a nice everyday trainer and side with complete comfort but they just don't look as smart as I want. Does anyone feel the same? That at this price range finding that all round smart-casual, sleek, fitting like shoe is hard to come by?

If anything, there is a massive amount of brands sandwiched within all those price ranges, the selection has exploded the past 8 years.

Carlos Santos comes to mind, Meermin, TLB Mallorca.

I'd head over to Herring shoes or Skoaktiebolaget, they both carry great brands with many price points.
