John Lobb Bespoke Brogues--Town And Country

Well, this is pretty self-explanatory. Here are a couple of Lobb bespokes that I believe date back to the 1960s (just a hunch). I think these are interesting in contrast to the Maxwell shoes I've been posting. Lobb, with its lower and elongated cut, anticipated the future much better than Maxwell (who ended their glorious life in what was by all accounts a dreary small Savile Row shop). First up, the Town:

And now, the Country. One great feature of this shoe is the way the pebble grain goes to smooth at the toe:
