The Lobb people told me it's a modified 7000 designed to be sleeker and tighter (i.e, it has a higher heel than most Lobbs). It's a pretty good fit for me. 'Great finish and top-level leather. If you call Lobb NY, they'll send you a fedex label for you to send to NY to get toe plates. They'll be happy to do in store. It takes less than a week. Now, only if I had someplace to go...

These are a whole size difference, what size do you typically wear?

anyone know how wide is a F width in JLP shoes?
I am a UK9/9.5 E in Edward Green Ashby and Hove monk strap (82 and 888 Last) and is interested in getting the John Lobb William 2 Monk shoes on the 9795 F last, I am wondering would UK8 F or UK8.5 F fits better on me.

Why would you need a double-wide JLP last (I believe they go from normal E-->EE-->F)? You appear to be a standard width in EG, so your JLP size should ideally be an 8.5E or 9E.

JLP EE is equivalent to a F width.
Because the Italian retailer seems to carry only EE width, i am not sure whether going for UK8.5 EE or UK8 EE is a better bet given that I wear UK9/9.5 E in edward green. So wondering anyone wearing same size as me and have experience in EE width JLP. I am looking at the JLP William Monk shoes in 9795 last

Must be referring to Borghini, drives me crazy that they stock majority EE wide widths.
