• CALLING ON HOME SEWERS TO HELP HEALTHCARE WORKERS FIGHTING COVID-19

The lack of proper masks, gowns, and eyewear equipment is making it difficult for health workers to do their work fighting the novel coronavirus. In a recent New York Times article, medical workers said they were worried about how they can both fight the coronavirus without imperiling themselves, as well as their loved ones when they go back home.

If you are a home sewer, please consider helping my joining Hickey Freman Technical Vice President Jeffery Diduch in his effort to produce and deliver homemade gowns and masks to medical professionals in the greater Rochester, New York Area. Read about how you can help here

That color is amazingly beautiful!!!

On a slightly related note, does anyone know on what medium I can watch the documentary “Handmade: By Royal Appointment - John Lobb Shoes”?
I am sure it’s about JL London, but anything about making handmade and bespoke shoes is of high interest to me.

Someone told me it was on Netflix, but I couldn’t find it there. If anyone knows, I bet others want to see it too.
thanks

You can see it on Youtube:

Gorgeous!! FedEx is literally deliver mine now - dark brown.
I bought them purposely/accidentally though. I guess my card was already in from a previous purchase. I was checking the tax vs. picking them up in NYC vs overnight delivery. The button was misleading as it read “Proceed to Cart”. But when I pressed it, the next window was “Thank You for Your Purchase”. When your item ships, you’ll receive....”
I was like, oh shit, gotta hide this one from the wifey. Too many boxes have bees showing up with my name of them lately. One more box might raise some questions about a new kitchen or something.
Congrats! the brown would have been my second choice!

I love the shoe, although the navy may be more versatile...but hey no shoe polish, shoe horn, or extra shoe strings, all of which I thought I got with my Becketts - which I got directly from the NY shop. The last is 0118 and is a bit roomier in the toe box, but narrower in the heel than the 8000. Sorry ‘bout the dup pics.
