1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

If I were to buy that pair, I'd get in in plum since I already have the Chapel in dark brown.

Hayes over chapel? Really? I'd take chapel hands down. But that's just my opinion.

Not going to disagree with you there!

    2008- ugly crap
    2009- best prestige shoe made
2010- great prestige shoe but not as good as the 2009
    2011- slightly modified Beckett

After the 2011 release, I can't remember them too well.

Hey, I'm for the 2009 as well. It's just that the referendum was between the 2010 and Hayes.

There's always the option of bespoke...just the price may be like 3.5 times the normal price.

With the low €, now is a pretty good time to take bespoke plunge. Half is due up front and then you have about another year to save for the 2nd half.

Nice!! Do you have any issues with the palladium eyelets cutting into the laces? I had to return mine, as after about five days of wearing the laces were all cut up. Mine are now on the way back to me from JL. Hope it was a one time issue.

    Agreed.
All my plum museum shoes are reserved for navy suits

Interestingly enough I did have a shoelace shredded on one of the shoes, but not the other
I always ask the boutique to send two pairs of extra laces with every pair of shoes (they usually give you one extra pair).
Not sure if that was from wear or pulling the laces tight. I know pulling thrm tight can shred the laces on speed hooks also, and that can be minimized by pulling tight before engaging the speed hooks (in this case palladium eyelets) and then gently pulling the rest of the laces when you engage the speed hooks/palladium eyelets.

What did they say they are going to do to the shoes you took back to correct the issue?

P.S. i tend to have a problem in general with flat laces snapping when i try to tighten shoes, but i think that bc of the bar lacing and me pulling too hard. I tend to go through shoe laces a lot. I am sure the costa mesa guys are getting tired of me asking for shoe laces every couple of months :)
