Just dropped to $875 obo
Watton chelsea boot, luv'em
that is a Lobb style that i haven't seen before. It looks very comfortable and could probably pass for dress as well as casual with the plain toe.
Yes this model is kinda rare, comfortable indeed, convenient easy on/off, versatile, great shoes. I love the leather covering on the elastic part.
I want to get the Lopez Loafers, for casual wear. Can you wear JL Lopez without socks? Will it damage the shoe?
How long you had this? Seems Lobb's get better with age.
Three years plus
You get it resoled yet? I wonder how long JL leather sole lasts in a good rotation. I haven't gone that far in yet.
Use the Falke Invisible cotton socks. They are amazing, protecting both the shoe and your feet, and are completely invisible .. I have a 3 pairs of Lopez loafers, and would never go out again wearing them with socks, it's too much of a grandpa style to me now.. Rock those loafers with some cool chinos for a fresh spring look after the ugly winter!
No, not yet. I have a big rotation though so don't put any store by that
Ahh Thanks Nice.,
This is my first post on here, as I'm a newcomer to amazing shoes.
I happen to live in Northampton, centre of the shoe universe, and never realised what amazing shoe factories I had literally on my doorstep until my
brother in law announced that he works for John Lobb (a two minute walk from my front door), and asked me if I wanted a pair of shoes. The prices
were way out of my league, but he told me he could get me a pair for £150 using his staff discount (!!!).
So, yesterday, I finished work early and popped in to see what was available .... I ended up buying a pair of Phillip II's, and I now appear to have developed
a bit of a shoe fetish lol .... I seriously never knew a pair of shoes could be so gorgeous.
Anyway, I also have Edward Green, Church's, Crockett & Jones and Jeffrey West factories all within a fifteen minute walk from my house.
Which of those brands would you guys recommend? I can only afford one really top name pair, so want to make a good choice .... any advice or
Thanks in advance )
I Like the styles of Edward Green, Crockett and Jones and John Lobb. If you can get John Lobb's at that price I would get Lobb's I think Phillip ll's are one of the classiest dress shoes. But I also like C&J for the ruggedness. They all will last a really long time with care. But I think couple of John Lobb's will last you a lifetime.
WHAT?! £150?!!! Maybe your brother in law can also show you around the factory. Lucky guy.
