God I hope not. What I find ironic is that, to me JL RTW was already very fashion forward. Don't know why they needed to push it even further in that direction.

As long as they don't stop making the Lopez....

They certainly don't give the impression or look like high end sneakers.

The future's not looking too bright at JLP... Thankfully there is always Lobb St. James.

@arneben Is there an additional charge to order a size that is not in stock? I'm in Brampton and check LeatherFoot regularly for when I look to step up my shoe game from Allen Edmonds.

Actually, wouldn't G&G be the natural successor to JL in terms of design and quality?

I think it is a reference to heritage.

JL quality never declined. And G&G design is definitely Pitti Uomo forward.

The alternative is to go through JL MTO program or EG.

It's very strange that there are two John Lobb's (Paris and England). They are both responsible for the brand. Must be a nightmare if one of them slips up.

From what I have seen, England is a real McCoy and only bespoke - whereas Paris (Hermes) is the one I and almost everyone else has brought thinking they are buying the real McCoy.

Would love a pair of the English ones.

Paris offers bespoke as well. I like their worksmanship much better than JL St James.

JL Paris bespoke is the quintessential French shoemaker that has institutionalize their workmanship.

JLSJ is much more classic and austere. Nowhere as elegant as their French counterpart in my opinion. And they do charge extra for shoe bags and shoe trees.

    Both makes great riding boots.

JLP bespoke is just as legit as JLSJ. They are much different in style, however.

JLSJ pretty much never deviates from English roots.
