The 4800 last is more pronounced than the 8000 last, espcially in calf. The fits are similar. It comes down to your preference.

i had the sandon in chestnut and it was a very aesthetically pleasing look about it. the chisel toe with the more vertical drop on the sides of the quarters made it a more formal look (of course not in chestnut though)

however ,the luffield i have seen in darker colors like dark brown and parisian and black, and perhaps because of the colors, i biasedly found the luffield more luxuriously looking than the sandon.

but i dont like the toe on the luffield, i dont like the 8000 last in general imo it is a very flat looking square shape with no real curvy sweep towards it.
i prefer the 8695 last or the rounder 7000.

Thanks for the swift response & splendid reference pictures VR.
My preference would be the toe box of the Sandon with the seamless heel of the Luffeld.
But im not going bespokefor this ...

Luffield without even a question. It's a prestige shoe, and the 8000 last fits me much better than the 4800.

yes the 4800 is definitely tighter. i find it at least a quarter size smaller than the 8000

anything in 8000, i wear a snug 9E , but a loosened 9.5E

on the 4800, i wear a perfect 9.5E

And see the way they joined the front and rear parts of the shoe ... But the slight chisel on the Sandon is not bar either. Il have a look again tomorrow ...
