The jacket is very reminiscent of snowboarding jackets but without a powder skirt and hidden cuff.

I’ve had a lot of snowboard jackets with that internal phone pocket. It’s good for a quick glance because of the plastic cover when you don’t intend on taking it out.
The downside is it’s kept warm and close to your chest so when you open up your jacket to look it tends to build up a foggy condensation when the cold air hits it.

Other than that the colors and slimmer design are great for a down jacket. Not sure why they chose to only put faux fur on the Mojave x Sage colorway. Also, at that price point I’d expect real fur. I don’t mind faux fur but I do mind when you’re charging a premium for it.

If the charcoal or mojave x sage hit sales then I’d be looking to pick one up.

California has a fur ban. They couldn’t sell the jacket in their home market.

Careful.... I asked that the other day and someone nearly blew a fuse

his question and yours are completely different. You asked if they are basically the same besides wash/raw lol? And he’s asking why one over the other? Not the same. And blew a fuse? I explained to you what the differences are. I did laugh because they are completely different and your question insinuated they were “basically the same.”

curious, why carbon over obsidian?

To answer your question, IMO... I’ll take Carbons over any other JE denim. I do love Obsidians, but Carbons are more soft, more comfortable, and the cut is slimmer, especially at the lower leg portion. The washed/smoky black look is also Much nicer long term than the white fades of the Obsidians.

And your explanation was basically saying one is soft and faded (similar to a pair of washed black), and one is stiff and unfaded (similar to a pair of black raws). I've seen neither in person, so was looking for general feedback. Thanks for the snark though.

To piggy back off this, anyone have recommendations on combat/laceup boots?
Need something a bit more robust for the winter. Amiri’s look great but no half sizes and the price point is hard to justify just for seasonable wear.
Common projects has a nice pair in black, the Visvim folk boot is kind of a combat style boot, and Brunello Cucinelli has a few stunning ones currently as well.

does anyone have suggestions for low tops/runners to wear with cast 2s? Ive mainly been wearing with Chelsea boots but sometimes I want to feel a bit dressed down. I’m thinking of the Undercover Daybreaks could be a candidate

Same here. Need a 29 or 30.

Were Washed Graphite a part of the BF sale last year?
I don’t think so
