To anyone who's received their pair of jets or other waxed, anything about them that would make it difficult to hem? I've never owned a pair of waxed denim.

While My closet heavily favors JE, I really like ALD as well. While Aimé can get pretty loud with their branding, they always have solid pieces each season that are unbranded or subtly branded.

... and let me put this out there to see if anyone else agrees: Aimé does a cropped pant very well. I feel like JE could improve in this area.
Which ALD pants are cropped?

It’s all about the starting point. What I’m guessing he is saying is that a 30 in the jet is similar to a 29 in the carbons fresh out the box. Similar to the indigo dillons running small, or the original run of the washed graphite’s.

What you do with this information is up to you. Whether you’re going to try and go tts and stretch them out or go for comfort initially.

I think if you plan to wear them infrequently (which I would think would be the case for waxed denim) then you’re probably better off sizing up. If you plan on beating these bad boys up and are ok with taking risk, then go tts.

Ah. This makes more sense. So 30 would be really be "29" & when Mike said size up that really meant so one could actually experience their true size (30). I think I got it now. :rotflmao:

Why do you recommend size up for infrequent and then TTS for frequent wears though? Just trying to understand the logic. Your responses were helpful.
