I highly doubt JE is changing the fit of Cast 2. I think he admitted the first run of Avalon did fit small and people had to sz up. I think he updated the fit to fit like normal cast 2 so people can buy there normal sz this time. The cast 2 is probably one of JE best sellers. No need to update.

Mike confirmed this. And if you scroll through the forum you can see members express their cast 2(new) fits different.

You copping?

I don’t know. I tend to lean towards the Speed Lace but that’s a great shot of the Caldera. Aside from the color itself, what sets the Frost apart from the other colors is how it’s one solid color throughout, allowing the silhouette to shine in full. If you look at the Desert and Shark, the colors are sandwiched by black, which skews the shape.

Minority on this but the speed lace is a god awful boot and they remind me of mickey mouse when on a more forward angle.

Black pair is still the school security special.

Yeah it can look odd from certain angles. Like I mentioned, I think that does have to do with the color blocking to a certain extent. A solid pair like Frost will not have those issues whereas Desert and Shark will. Also, it depends how u wear them. They can look a bit long and goofy if your pants aren’t right.

This denim is crazy, a lot, and I mean a lot of work has been done on these. In the pic above you can see that they have been heavily washed, the majority of the sulfur has been washed out. They have various bleach stains and paint splatters (mostly in red).

the wearers right pocket has a repair along the pocket entry. There are also some subtle holes and distressing along the pockets, where you might get distressing from holding a wallet or phone. You can notice the whiskers Have also been washed out, this is similar to a heavily washed “5-7 yr wash”.

like the pocket entry there are other areas of repairs. Along the left thigh the hole has been repaired with a black piece of denim. This piece is also a washed piece but looks to have been repaired using a not as washed out piece, maybe a “2-3 yr wash”. If you think about this, that means the jeans were washed/treated to remove the base black dye, they were painted on/bleached, distressed and then finally repaired. I can’t even imagine the amount of time that went into producing these

Distressing where the paint (may) have been folded over. This is super cool because I roll a lot of my cuffs and this resonates with me and a lot of my denim.

anyway, a lot of work went into this denim. It is absolutely insane.

need to wear them a bit more and figure out how to style to really give an honest review, but thought a few of you might like to see some of the details.

✌?

I actually really like these because they come off as more grey color. These pics are great and really show the detail on them. Since I have a gift card burning a hole in my pocket these might be in my cart soon along with the new Avalons
