wonder what the buckle weight is. If it’s lighter, then it’s not too bad even if it’s fixed.

That’s true... If I can snag the new rider on sale then I might try it. Yuji is hard to let go though... it was a grail of mine. Just need it to soften up eventually.

Do they fit well under cast 2?
Here’s some quick pics I snapped, was already wearing the spruce jawns. I think the way they are modeled with the gulch on the site is an accurate representation on what they’ll look like on most people. I think they would look optimal with a shorter inseam pant/denim but with a small leg opening to still stack, so the collar is more exposed and showcased more, idk. I don’t have super long legs or anything, I’m 5”11 and these are cast 2s with the standard 33.5” inseam.

This is why I can’t spend that much on those boots. I specifically wear my boots in rain and snow. They’re all leather no rubber, including the sole and they handle it fine. Wolverine 1000 mile boot is my personal GOAT of the boot world.
Yea I am lucky that the winters here are just mild enough to where I'm never having to trudge through a bunch of snow. I own some a couple of pricey Alden boots in shell(that I treat with their "defender" product) and reverse chamois both on commando that I don't mind wearing in inclement weather, I personally just don't view the Caldera as that type of boot for my situation. You are definitely getting your money's worth on those 1000 mile boots though! Surprised you never switched up your soles to rubber, since I walk a lot in the city, leather soles get destroyed so quickly and I don't trust them enough in rain and snow/ice.

Just want to give a shout to Neon Wave! I picked up a Saturdays fleece a few weeks back and the shipping was quick, packaging was great, and it was accompanied by a handwritten note plus a sticker to boot. Their mix of outdoor and contemporary is dope, definitely support them if you can.
man, that made my day. thanks so much for the support and the kind words!
Just checked out your shop's website and noticed where your flagship is located. I'm originally from Rochester, I'll definitely come through next time I'm visiting home!
that's amazing! Thank you. Shoot me a DM when you come back home!
