Just getting into higher end jeans for the first time and could use some sizing advice.
Proportionally challenged.
5’7, 190, 35” waist, 23” thighs

Cast 2 Sizing chart puts me at a 33 or 34... sized down to a 32 and it still feels like it’s a too loose, about an inch at the waistband - should I get it tailored? Or should I go down 1 more?

I would just wear a belt to be honest, otherwise you may not have enough room in the thigh area

You're also wearing a pair with knee blowouts, which give a lot more flexibility - need to keep in mind that a pair without any distressing will likely be more constricting

I have proportionately big thighs when compared to my waist and I'm having to replace all of my JE denim because they are too constricting now - I'd say it is worth having a little extra space in the waist to allow for more movement & comfort overall

What season are those zincs? The first iteration was a slightly larger cut than the current cast 2, so keep that in mind
